Brazilian Bourbon Santos
Taste
With smooth and mild flavors (often sweet and nutty), Brazilian Bourbon Santos has a light to medium body, yields a low acidity, and has a very pleasant aroma.
Origin
Near the port of Santos in southern Brazil at elevations from 2,000 to 4,000 feet. These gourmet Arabica coffee plants are descendants of plants brought to the island of Reunion (formerly Bourbon).
CoffeeMan Dan says, ” The low acidity of Brazilian Bourbon Santos derives from the region’s lower growing elevations compared to, for example, Central America where plantations at elevations above 5,000 feet produce premium gourmet coffees that are bigger and brighter (higher acidity).
